Inspiration Friday with La La Land Crafts!

Hi everyone and welcome to another Inspiration Friday with the La La Land Crafts! This week's challenge is "Wild Child!"

I created a card using Kitty Kat Marci and sentiment from the Outlaw Luka stamp set. I'm not much of a cat person but OH MY GOODNESS, is she not the cutest?! I love her striped tights, hehe! ❤

The paper collection I'm using is called "Laced Grace" by Glitz Design. I took the papers and matched them up with my Copic Color Chart and decided to go with blues, greens and black.

Here are some photos...

12x12 Little Darlings Scrapbook layout

Hi everyone! I'm here today with a project for I Am Roses. And what FUN I had with this layout let me tell you! I used so many different and fun products, so let's get at it!

The paper collection that I'm using is Graphic 45's new Little Darlings -- such adorable papers! The background was cut using an oldie but favorite AccuCut die called Matte Circles 11". I did some distress work with the edges of the design paper using my Tim Holtz paper edge distresser.

I added a lot of different layers using the paper collection, including some images I fussy cut. I added some additional layering with white paper doilies sprayed with Creme Brulee Cream Starburst Spray by Lindy Stamp Gang.

The little vintage hanger is used to hang and display the layout on the wall of my office. I added some vintage white hand crinkled seam binding and inserted a little sentiment ("special delivery") from the Little Darlings paper collection...

The flourishes were die-cut using the MFT Fancy Flourish Die-Namics and I added some of the T2 Small flowers from I Am Roses (all I Am Roses product links will be included below.)

The large R40 rose is sprayed up with one of my new Starburst Spray colors that will be part of a set called Nantucket Pearls (coming soon to Lindy Stamp Gang!) The color used on the R40 rose is called Whale Watch Blue. The R21's are sprayed with Sea Grass Green and the R8's are sprayed with Clam Bake Beige. I tucked in some of my new favorite white crochet flowers with pearls, and some white small rose buds. The leaves were punched out using an EK success punch.

I created this little transparent window on the layout, which was super fun! I used 2 pieces of Acrylic from AccuCut and inserted a postage stamp and some T2 Small Flowers between the acrylic pieces. One of the acrylic pieces is stamped using a foam mounted flourish stamp from Michael's and some white StazOn ink. I used the edge of a paper doily around the opening of the "window" then added several of the T2 Small Flowers to embellish. On the corner, I added three R3 roses using the new sprays from the LSG Nantucket Pearls set.

Here's a closer look at the layers, distress, flourishes, and the super fun acrylic "window" with the floating postage stamp...

I created the "SWEET" banner using MFT's Mini Pennants Die-Namics and Graphic 45's alpha stickers from the Tropical Travelogue collection.

I "had" to add the little baby sleeping from the Little Darlings paper collection... it was so fitting with this photo of my son Dylan... He was only 3 weeks old in this photo, so you can only imagine how difficult it was to wake him up for the studio shoot, LOL! The photographer had no choice but to photograph Dylan asleep LOL!! But that's perfectly okay... I think this photo came out totally darling! I love how he has the little smile on his face while he was sleeping --- adorable! ❤

Here is a close-up look at the gorgeous I Am Roses flowers...

Inspiration Friday with La La Land Crafts!

Welcome to another La La Land Crafts Inspiration Friday. This week's theme is Easter! Easter is right around the corner and so is Spring. I can't wait, although we could really use the rain out here in California that's for sure! ❤

For my project today, I colored up Marci with Bunny using my Copic markers. The paper collection I grabbed is Sweet Nothings by Kaisercraft. I love, love, love this new collection. It's very vintage, shabby chic. The muted pastels are gorgeous!

Here are some pics of cute little Marci with Bunny...

I paper pieced her outfit and colored over the design paper with my Copic markers on her headband and dress trim.

Final Project Submissions for G45's 2012 Open Design Team Call

Hi everyone! I'm super excited to share the projects I created for the final round of Graphic 45's Open Design Team call for 2012. I had so much fun creating these projects and working with the Tropical Travelogue and An ABC Primer paper collections. These are definitely 2 of my favorites... but who am I kidding, I love everything Graphic 45! ❤

First up is this altered shadow box. I used a crackle paint technique on the box, did a ton of fussy cutting with the paper collection, used a bunch of dimensionals and went at it! So much fun! Here are some pics...

Products:
Graphic 45 Tropical Travelogue paper collection
G45 12x12 sticker sheet  ("2009") - Tropical Travelogue
wooden shadow box (Michael's)
Lindy Stamp Gang Starburst Spray (Tiffany's Blue); Glitz Spritz in Cactus Gold
Ranger Distress Ink - Vintage Photo
Burlap trim
Rope
trim
Seashells
Tim Holtz mini bottle

Next up is this 12x12 layout that I created of my son Dylan's first day at Kindergarten. I used Graphic 45's An ABC Primer. This paper collection is perfect for scrapping those school photos of your children. The colors are amazing and I love all the little tags and images that come in the collection. Here are some pics of the layout I created...

Tropical Travelogue 12x12 Sticker Sheet ("Dylan")
Prima Shabby Chic Treasures "bike"
Prima Say it in Pearls - Black

MFT Die-namics - Rolled Rose, Rosette

My last project is this altered wagon and mini album. A few weeks ago, my BFF Bona took me to an antique shop near the hotel where our crop was hosted. I found so many little treasures including this little "seedling" wagon. This little wagon used to be a little seed planter. I sanded it down and stained it with my Lindy Stamp Gang Starburst Stains then accented it with An ABC Primer papers and chipboard pieces and some I Am Roses flowers. The mini album fits nicely inside and it contains lots of fun tags and pockets with tons of space for photos and journaling. I'm including a few pictures below, but be sure to check out the video where you can get a full glimpse of this project...

La La Land Crafts Inspiration Friday -- Fabulous Green!

Hey friends! Welcome to another La La Land Crafts Inspiration Friday!

This week's challenge is in honor of St. Patrick's day. Let's get your "Fabulous Green" ON!

Today's card was created using the SUPER adorable Big Panda Marci. Is she not the cutest little thing ever? I love her fluffy bear hat and her super stylish boots! ❤

The paper collection is My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Rosy. The flowers are by I Am Roses. I sprayed the hydrangeas ("4 leaf clovers") using Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Spray in Maiden Hair Fern Green, then topped it off with a spritz of My Mojito Green.

I created the 3 large banners using different papers from the Rosy collection and added 3 Crystazzi Crystals to anchor the top banner. These are so fun and easy to make using a paper trimmer and a square punch. ❤

Copic markers:

Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, R20, BV00
Hair/Panda: C3, C5, C7, C9
Hat/Boots/Belt: E23, E25, E27
Eyes & Nose on hat: E47, E49
Shirt: G20, G21, G24
Vest: YG63, YG67
Panda's ears/nose: R00
Shorts: B93, B95, B97
Belt Buckle, Shirt/Vest Trim: At You Spica Glitter Pen "Olive"

The leaves were punched out using one of my new favorite EK Success punches. Marci is popped up on a Color Bok Flea Market doily that is then layered over a mini doily from my stash. I dressed the edges of the layered doily with several mini I Am Roses flowers. I love creating a garden on my cards. LOL! ❤

I always finish up the inside of my cards. It just feels "complete" when I do that. LOL! ❤

The sentiment is from the Notched Tag stamp set by MFT. It's stamped on a mini scallop tag punch by Martha Stewart.

And of course, I had my huge bag of I Am Roses flowers in tow, so you know I was showing my layouts some love by using them. hehe!

First up is this layout I created of myself, Bona and Rina taken at CHA. We had such an amazing time at CHA, and I completely ADORE this pic of the three of us... I just had to make a layout!

The size of the layout is 8x8. I used Prima's Romantique papers and a ton of I Am Roses... here are some pics:

Lace from my stash

Next up is this 6x6 layout I created of me with my family during my parents' 42nd wedding anniversary lunch in January. We don't take photos as a family often (we are together often and take lots of pictures, but to get the 5 of us in a pic is VERY rare!) So, I decided to scrap this photo in a cute little 6x6 layout. Here are some pics...

Simple Stories "Generations" papers
MFT Decorative Doily Die-Namics
Prima Say It In Pearls
Metal Butterfly
Martha Stewart leaf punch

Next up (and last but not least!) are these Easter Treat boxes that I created for Bona and Brandy. I never come empty handed to a crop and you can never go wrong with chocolate, right?! LOL! Here are some pics...
